The three-day long Bangladesh Model United Nations (BANMUN) conference ended on 26 July by adopting ten resolutions by ten committees under the theme of ‘Youth for Development’. Saida Muna Tasneem, Director-General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Neal Walker, UN Resident Coordinator in Bangladesh spoke in the closing session as chief guest and guest of honour respectively . Among others, M. Moniruzzaman, OIC, UNIC Dhaka, Dr Sayed Saikh Imtiaz, Chairman, UNYSAB Trustee Board and Shahidul Alam, Principal, Oxford Int’l School spoke on the occasion. UN Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) in partnership with UNIC Dhaka organized the MUN conference at Oxford Int’l School during 24-24 June 2014. Prof Dalem Chandra Barman, the Vice-Chancellor of ASA University Bangladesh inaugurated the conference on 24 June as chief guest while UNYSAB President Mohammad Mamun Mia chaired the session. The Special guest were Mr KAM Morshed, Assistant Country Director, UNDP Bangladesh, Faiyaz Morshed Kazi , Director(UN), MoFA, Principal of Oxford Int’l School, M. Moniruzzaman, OIC, UNIC Dhaka and Kazi Ali Reza, Director, Dhaka Ahsania Mission. UNIC Provided all the 220 delegates of 44 schools and colleges with a set of UN publications.
