Dhaka, 27 February: UNIC Dhaka and UNV jointly organized a ‘Content Writing Workshop’ for the young contributors. The workshop was held as an outcome of UN Youth Theme Group’s decision to publish a bi-lingual newsletter by the youngsters. The UN Inter-agency Youth Theme Group, lead by UNFPA, was formed in Bangladesh in line with Youth agenda – one of the priorities of UN Secretary-General. UNIC, UNV, UNFPA and UNICEF took lead for publishing a Youth Newsletter by the youth. Mr Mainul Alam, a senior journalist of Daily Ittefaq and President of Diplomatic correspondents Association of Bangladesh worked as a resource person in the workshop. The young participants were actively participated in the workshop. The 1st issue of the newsletter will focus on women empowerment to mark the Int’l Women’s Day. M.
